According to the The World Economic Forum (WEF) report The Future of Jobs; the key to future success is having a set of ‘innovation skills’.
The WEF has defined a list with top innovation skills needed in 2020 and beyond and compared that to the top 10 skills in 2015. The top climber for 2020 is Creativity, the top faller is Negotiation. Furthermore, Complex problem solving keeps a strong 1 position

And now, the national education policy, 2020 in its Pedagogy - the assessment will be more focussed on testing higher-order skills, such as analysis, critical thinking, and conceptual clarity. With the new policy that has come into the picture, the school and college education will not only be seen as a facilitator of degree but it will be treated as a medium to build personality and it’ll help the students in their holistic professional growth. "With the NEP 2020, the industry will witness a shift from summative assessment to regular and formative assessment, which is more competency-based that promotes learning and development, and tests higher-order skills, such as analysis, logical thinking and clarity," said Mrityunjay R Narayanan, CFI President.
The NEP 2020 also paves the way for a greater level of collaboration among institutions which are geographically close to each other. A cluster-wise resource pool will be created that will comprise infrastructure, academic libraries and a strong professional teacher community.
